What is Medicare Part C?
Medicare is a federal program that guarantees health coverage for people 65 and older, or under 65 with certain disabilities or medical exceptions that qualify.
Medicare is made up of 4 programs, A, B, C, and D. Individuals can choose to get their health care through the "original" Medicare Parts A and B, or through a private insurance plan. Those private insurance plans are under Medicare Part C. Medicare Part D provides prescription drug coverage.
So what is Medicare Part C? Medicare Part C, also known as Medicare Advantage Plan, is offered by private companies that must be approved by Medicare as a provider. When you choose a Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage Plan), your Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B coverage will then come from that provider.
A Medicare Part C Plan is simply another Medicare health plan choice for you. If you choose to join a Medicare Advantage Plan, many offer additional coverage for medical expenses. These can include extra coverage for things like vision, dental, hearing, and/or health and wellness programs. Most also include Medicare prescription drug coverage, Part D.

"After having secondary insurance coverage for ten years with a large national insurance company that had extremely poor customer relations skills (and a company representative who rarely would return my calls), it was like a breath of fresh air to have found Rebecca through my financial planner.
Rebecca is the consummate professional. She responds to telephone calls and emails in a timely manner; she is very knowledgeable about a variety of insurance products; she describes these options with respect, clarity, and patience; and, her empathy, and kindness are beyond reproach. In short, the name of her business is so appropriate, because she is, without a doubt, a woman of INTEGRITY!"
